Executive Function Coaching

Because "Just Try Harder" Is Not an Executive Function Strategy.

You know how deeply capable your teen or young adult is, but they are getting stuck in cycles of mental paralysis, abandoned routines, and chronic overwhelm. When the brain freezes at the starting line, more effort isn't the solution.

As a specialized Executive Function Coach, I help neurodivergent middle school, high school, and college students conquer the invisible demands of daily life, independence, and academics. We skip the theoretical advice and build practical, individualized scaffolding designed for real-world conditions.

Recognition

Does this sound like your home?

You see how deeply your child wants to succeed, but you also see the invisible friction they fight every single day. Maybe it's watching them stand paralyzed in a messy bedroom, or seeing a simple homework assignment spiral into a multi-hour battle. You want so badly to step back and give them space to grow, but you're constantly balancing how to support them without hovering. It's that daily process of gently guiding them, hoping it finally clicks, and holding the space for them until it does.

In many families, executive function overloads look like this

The Starting Block

Freezing at the very beginning of a task, whether it's a history essay or simply getting off the couch to take a shower and brush their teeth.

Productive Task Avoidance

Suddenly deciding tonight is the night they must deep-clean their closet, organize their sneakers, or curate a new playlist, doing literally any other project to escape the invisible wall of a difficult or overwhelming task.

The Unfinished Trail

Leaving a physical path of half-completed chores around the house, like walking into the kitchen to find open cabinets and the milk left on the counter, or asking them to take out the trash only for them to get sidetracked halfway through and leave the bin in the middle of the driveway.

The Disappearing Act

Finishing the work, only for it to vanish into a messy backpack, an uncompleted online portal, or simply get left behind before it can be turned in.

This is not laziness, a lack of ambition, or a character flaw.

This is executive function overload. It is a real difference in how the brain starts, plans, organizes, and regulates under a heavy load. It doesn't stop when the school bell rings. It impacts how they manage a bedroom, keep track of their belongings, handle daily self-care, and navigate family relationships. Added pressure won't fix it. Practical, sustainable systems built to fit how your child's brain actually works will.

The Approach

Practical Strategy for Real-Life Conditions

I am a specialized strategist. I partner with your teen or young adult to design individualized, repeatable systems for the parts of daily life, independent living, and school that effort alone cannot fix.

How We Build Success

01

Task Initiation & Daily Momentum

Learning how to break through the mental freeze and simply get started on high-friction tasks, whether that's attacking a school assignment or tackling basic household routines.

02

Time Management & Life Planning

Transforming overwhelming, long-term timelines into manageable steps. We map out school deadlines, but we also build routines for waking up, leaving the house on time, and managing open-ended weekend hours.

03

Physical & Environmental Organization

Creating tailored, ADHD-friendly systems to manage physical spaces. We work on keeping track of essential belongings, organizing bedrooms, managing backpacks, and navigating digital school portals.

04

Emotional Regulation & Managing Overwhelm

Building real-world coping tools to handle the intense frustration, shame, and anxiety that lead directly to a complete screen escape or emotional shutdown.

05

IEP & 504 Strategy & Guidance

Reviewing existing accommodation plans, offering deep consultations, and helping parents navigate the complexities of the school system so the burden of advocacy doesn't cause constant friction at home.

Flexible Support Built Around Your Family

Whether your student needs a high-impact summer intensive to prepare for an upcoming life transition (like moving to high school or heading off to college), or ongoing accountability throughout the year, I provide tailored coaching built around your needs.
